From 2021-2024, our total estimated carbon emissions are 1,662.72 MT CO2e. Through our commitment to reforestation, we’ve planted over 101,000 trees, effectively neutralizing more than 2,000 MT CO2e.
We’re proud to host an event with zero trash cans on- site. All materials on-site are compostable, recyclable, or reusable. Our partnership with Terracycle, enables us to upcycle the “impossible items” like microplastics.
With reusable, stainless steel “Infinity Cups”, a BYO bottle culture, and free water refill stations, we’ve built an ecosystem that eliminates the need for single-use plastics. In 2024, we achieved an 87% diversion rate, saving 7,387 lbs of waste from entering the landfills.
Deep Tropics is committed to reducing diesel and gasoline use. In 2025, we’re pushing closer to our goal of eliminating fossil fuel generators and powering the majority of our festival with renewable energy systems and batteries.
Our Eco Band program lets fans take action by directly contributing to carbon offsets. Each band funds the planting of 20 fruit-bearing trees in Tanzania with Trees for the Future and supports local nonprofits, creating lasting environmental and community benefits.
